Peter started writing plays some 30 years ago because as a drama teacher he often could not find scripts that had the right number of parts for the particular composition of Drama groups. Solving his immediate problems in this way soon became a habit and he discovered that the writing was just as satisfying as creating a production from somebody else's work. Since having his first play "Choice" published in 1979 by Samuel French, he has gone on to write and publish many others until today he is an inter national playwright whose work is regularly produced in ten countries. He is particularly popular in Holland where all his work has been translated into Dutch.
He admits that he particularly enjoys writing comedy and farce but does not restrict himself to any one genre and will tackle anything from farcical sketches to full blooded drama. Writing for the theatre is his first love whatever the form. He makes a point of never submitting any work for publication until it has been thoroughly tested out on stage.
